Sundance Collab’s Cultural Impact Residency Honoring the Legacy of Michael Latt

Honoring the legacy of social justice advocate Michael Latt, this six-month online residency program on Sundance Collab is designed to uplift storytellers of color with a focus on creative, social and cultural impact and to galvanize communities with opportunities, hope and inspiration.

Eight fellows were selected: that included five fiction filmmakers and three non-fiction filmmakers. As part of the Residency, they all received two dedicated meetings with Sundance Advisors to provide feedback on their work, bi-monthly cohort meetings to check in and share work, and meetings with Sundance Artist Program staff. Artists also received a Sundance Collab Library Pass to take advantage of all of Sundance Collab’s Video Library, which includes Master Classes and Event Recordings, and two On Demand courses of their choosing.
