The Michael Latt Legacy Fund was honored to be celebrated at Liberty Hill’s 42nd Annual Upton Sinclair Celebration

The 42nd Annual Upton Sinclair Celebration was a memorable evening!

It was a night full of community fun as nearly 600 guests gathered at this year’s new venue, the LA Convention Center! The evening was packed with excitement! From our immersive and interactive community mural to stunning original artwork from our friends at Arts Bridging the Gap, and our newly introduced Building the Good Marketplace, which was brought to life by our wonderful community partners at Tia Chucha’s, Spirit Awakening Foundation, LA Community Action Network, Cultivarte Studios, and the Michael Latt Legacy Fund.

The program included a powerful and heartfelt performance from members of the Spirit Awakening Foundation, along with an uplifting closing set by the talented musical ensemble, The Freedom Singers!

A very special thank you goes out to this year’s Keynote Speaker—nationally acclaimed author, community organizer, and president of the Freedom Together Foundation—Deepak Bhargava! Be sure to rewatch his inspirational speech below to discover how we can work together to not only, “…save our democracy, but improve it!”
